Top artists raise awareness and over £10,000 for the MF

Jam for Bread concert

Raising awareness of the widespread use of torture throughout the globe, top music artists entertained hundreds of fans and raised over £10,000 for survivors of torture at Jam for Bread, the Medical Foundation’s first major music event.

Hosted by Gilles Peterson at the Shepherds Bush Empire, fans enjoyed eight sets, including South London acoustic artist Jamie Woon, Tawiah and Soothsayers.

The 2007 UK beatbox champion Beardyman delivered an energetic solo set and duo with Nathan ‘Flutebox’ Lee before the night closed with performances by Lou Rhodes and Bonobo.

The Medical Foundation would like to thank all the artists, volunteers and suppliers who generously donated their time and resources, and Indie Mobile and Inside-Us-All.
