Volunteer Therapist - West Midlands Office


Description of post:

We are looking for qualified clinical/counselling psychologists, counsellors and psychotherapists from a range of disciplines to support our work with survivors of torture. Depending on your experience you could be involved in assessing the needs of survivors of torture, delivering therapy in a group work setting or delivering one to one support to survivors of torture from a diverse range of backgrounds.

Special Skills/ experience:

You should have experience or willingness to work therapeutically with interpreters (training can be provided). In addition to undertaking holistic assessments of clients needs you will be expected to maintain clinical records, attend team meetings when required and participate in clinical supervision. A capacity to adapt your psychological model to meet the needs of this population is essential.
