Grants and trusts

Grant giving...

Trusts, Foundations and Institutional donors play a crucial role in helping us to care for survivors of torture. Nearly a fifth of our voluntary income comes from them and without their help we could simply not carry on our vital work.

Torture has existed for centuries, but the face of torture changes every day. Every day survivors come to us from all over the world. Every day we must strive to find new ways to ease their pain and give them a chance for a real future.

For over twenty years Trusts and Foundations have funded groundbreaking projects including the Befriending Project, Write to Life and the Natural Growth Project. Unique projects like these are rigorously assessed each year by our Audit and Evaluation team to make sure that they achieve what they set out to do.

Trusts and Foundations also support our teams of doctors, lawyers and counsellers who form the backbone of our work. These specialist teams make sure that, no matter how complex, every survivor's needs are met. Continued support gives us confidence in being able to help survivors as they seek to recover from their trauma and loss.

In order to continue to help torture survivors, we are always seeking further funding to support all of our existing and new services. If you have a connection with a Charitable Trust or Foundation that could help us then please do not hesitate to contact our Trust Fundraiser onĀ 020 7697 7797 or email trusts@torturecare.org.uk
