Well here at the Medical Foundation, we don't need excuses, because we have the best genuine reason for a celebration. 2008 is the 60th Anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights - 60 years of commitment to striving for freedom from fear, and for equality and dignity for every human being. There will be a 1948 theme (the year this crucial foundation of human rights law was laid) so look forward to post-war live music and an atmospheric setting. Please save the date Wednesday, 25th June and scrawl right across that page in your diary ‘Celebrating human rights with the Medical Foundation!'. And the venue to match such an occasion? The hidden gem that is the Sugar Quay Jetty Marquee, on the Thames with undoubtedly one of the finest views in London.
