  • 2007 Art Auction

    artWe are delighted to announce that we will be hosting another major Art Auction on 6th November this year. With the likes of Tom Phillips RA and Prof Phyllida Peake amongst the committee members, and pieces already donated by Elizabeth Blackadder RA, Ralph Steadman and Fermin Rocker, we hope to replicate the success of our 2003 auction.


  • Shooting Dogs Screening

    Venue: Gilmorehill G12 Cinema, 9 University Avenue, Glasgow G12 8QQ
    The Glasgow Local Group present a screening of the film Shooting Dogs, which tells the gripping and emotional story of two men's struggle for survival when caught up in one of the most brutal genocides of the twentieth century, the 1994 Rwandan tragedy.

  • Refugee Week: Blind Flight Screening

    This is a special screening of Blind Flight for Refugee Week featuring a Q & A session with the film's Director John Furse. The film tells the story of Brian Keenan's and John McCarthy's kidnapping in Beruit in the 1980's.

  • Midsummer Concert

    The Reading Local Supporters Group invite you to a join them for an evening of classical music with the wind quintet Syrinx in the beautiful setting of The Chantry House, a 15th century medieval hall beside the River Thames.

    As part of Cambridge's Refugee Week events, Simon Carruth, Medical Foundation's Chief Executive, will speak about the work of the Medical Foundation and the issues survivors of torture are facing.
